I have lower back pain for 4 weeks? who should i see? physiatrist or primary care or spine surgeon?

Primary care: Start with your primary care doctor. They can perform a complete exam, get imaging if they feel it necessary, and prescribe medication if it is indicated. If necessary, they can then refer you to a spine surgeon or physical therapist. If you develop leg weakness or incontinence of bowel or bladder at any time, go to the ER. Hope this helps!

Primary CAre: I would start with your family doctor - this is one of the main reasons for office visits to primary care and we are used to dealing with it. If there is a more significant problem then you will be referred to the specialist you need.
