Relax: Typical tricholemmal cyst in the scalp is removed with lidocaine local anesthesia. It is painless. Once they get started you will relax. You can also be sedated, but most people do not need this.

Gen Anest OK: It is OK to have general anesthesia for a scalp cyst removal as long as you are healthy and not high risk.
