See Your Doctor Now: "28 wks pregnant, 4yr old has Chickenpox". If you had natural infection, your antibodies protect the fetus but do inform your doctor. If you never had chickenpox there is an increased risk of fetal death if mom contracts chickenpox 5 days before to 2 days after delivery due to insufficient time for mom to produce antibodies. See your doctor now to determine treatment options based on your immunity

Avoid contact : Avoid contact with your 4year old until he is fully recovered and the lessons are crusted. The liquid center of the chickenpox lesion is contagious.
