Am i at danger if im 20 weeks pregnant and someone has chicken pox in the same household as me?

Basics: If exposed & not immune expect to get chickenpox (10-21 days) . Infections mid pregnancy seem to have little effect on the fetus. Infections that occur around the time of delivery are dangerous & potentially fatal. There is some danger to you & you should discuss it with your doc for treatments. Chickenpox in adults can be severe & occasionally fatal.

If you have never: had chicken pox, or the vaccine, Yes. Discuss with your doctor as soon as possible. If you have had the vaccine or are sure you have had chicken pox, this should be ok, again discuss with doctor to be sure.
