Show them: to his doctor, to make sure that these are lipomata, not something more serious. If they indeed are just lipomata, they do not need to be removed until they are 4 inches in diameter. If it is causing pain or disfigurement, they need to be surgically removed before they reach this size.

Need more info: Is he having pain? Are the lipomas getting larger? Do they bother him? Lipomas are benign lesions. They are removed for vairous reasons - pain, they keep growing, they are unsightly, someone just wants them removed. Some people have a few, some have a lot.
