A member asked:

Ice or heat for swollen bruise on sole, what to do?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Ice vs heat: Ice compresses will shrink blood vessels, reducing inflammation and bleeding. Warm compresses increase blood flow and are generally more relaxing to the muscles. With acute (new) injuries, it is generally recommended to ice the first day or two.
