Help docs, is hiv fetal immunity possible?

Complicated: Fetuses get most of their antibodies for the first six months of life from their mothers via the placenta. They do not start making their own antibodies in adequate amounts until about then. Most children born HIV free to HIV+ mothers were born to mothers who were treated through pregnancy with antiretroviral meds. You should see you doctor about this if you are worried.
