See below: All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Having said that, your alkaline phos and AST are slightly elevated and suggest a liver issue. If you drink alcohol, stop entirely. Discuss all the medications you take, including herbals, over the counter, alternative medicine with your doctor.
