If you want to know blood is acidic or alkaline, you only need to look at the pH. Normal pH is 7.35 -7.45, 7.4 is at the center, the best. Above 7.45 is alkaline, less than 7.35 is acidic. We use anion gap to figure out the type of acidosis which is beyond the discussion of this forum.
