Privacy: Patients with diabetes may need privacy to check their blood sugars or give themselves Insulin injections. They should also have the opportunity to exercise regularly.

Usually none: People with diabetes most often can work like everybody else. All employees deserve respect. The degree of diabetes experienced by people varies widely, so there are no absolute rules. I would think that employees would need a safe place to dispose of needles, and the opportunity to check their sugar levels and maybe snack more often. If they become sick, they need time off, just like anyone else.

Common sense: Employees with diabetes might need time to check their blood sugars or to give insulin. Some privacy might be necessary. Occasionally when their blood sugar goes low they might need time to check blood sugar and eat a quick snack. Overall, employees with diabetes should be treated like everyone else.
