Only if disabled: The americans with disabilities act says an employer must make reasonable accommodations to an employee who has difficulty performing their job because of a disability. If the employee is disabled because of diabetes, and their job performance is not up to par with non-disabled employees, the employer may ask about diabetes to accommodate the employee's needs. Otherwise medical inquiry is out.
