Treat early: Endoscopy will resolve the issue but as part of the work up, if an esophageal tumor is found and confirmed on biopsy, transesophageal ultrasound is essential to define the extent of tumor invasion. Then RT chemo preop offers the best opportunity for an effective surgical resection.
