Here are some ...: Although BPH with voiding problem may occasionally cause recurrent gross hematuria, the concern for bladder tumor would lead the way and be ruled out. So, after imaging studies with CT.IVP, he should undergo evaluation and treatment through cystoscopic procedures with laser or electrocautery. How to do it? It depends on surgeon's experiences, proficiency, facility's availability, etc. So, ask Doc.

Spinal: It appears like you are under the care of a urologist who has recommended prostate surgery. If general anesthesia is contraindicated for pulmonary reasons then spinal anesthesia can be used.Best wishes.

There is no: Patient that can't have general anesthesia, but for that procedure you can have local with sedation or major regional epidural or spinal
