Toric IOLs: The Crystalens and Trulign are high tech intraocular lenses called presbyopia-correcting or "premium" IOLs. Crystalens for those who have both cataracts and hyperopia, which causes near vision problems. The Trulign Toric IOL best suited to people who have astigmatism and wish to have improved uncorrected near, intermediate and distance vision after cataract surgery. Be prepared for side effects

Crystalens vs Toric : It's the best time in history to have cataracts /need cataract surgery. New tech allows for surgery safer with better outcomes. Femtosecond Laser & Symfony IOL are excellent; decisions depend on eye/patient factors (ie, how much astigmatism, what is the patient's profession [airplane pilots may not want the risk of halos & glare from a multifocal IOL. Consult with us or your eyeMD for more info.
