Should be safe: to stop as you have not been on for a prolonged period. However if you do develop symptoms related to withdrawal decrease to 25MG for two weeks then 25 mg every other day for two weeks. Please confirm this with your doctor before stopping or weaning.

Taper: I will advise you to taper rather than abruptly stopping it..

Approach: I am assuming that amitryptiline was chosen to treat your neuropathy, and that the side effects are not tolerated (common scenario). The low dose and relatively short experience should make it easy to go off Tapering over a week should be sufficient, but work with your doctor, and follow suggested approach.
