Tapering off of 10mg amitriptyline, taking halves, how long and how should i get to where i can stop? pills r making me worse, anxious to stop....

1/2 life is 18-44 hr: So, it should be gone in a matter of days. You're probably safe now. at the longest, 10mg would be 5mg in 2 days, 2-1/2mg in another 2, 1 in another 2 - you're good to go! Be careful w/ other drugs too. Check ahead on the w/drawal issues before starting. Consider therapy as an alternative to drugs or at least as a way to reduce need. Best wishes!

Dose is low: once your on 5 mg, you could probably stop with little chance of serotonin syndrome
