My ob said i had high fsh last time they did the blood work so my ob gave me estrogen patch to lower it down and advised me to take clomid (clomiphene) after.

Reasonable: That is a reasonable approach. It sounds like your Ob does not believe that you are ovulating. Hopefully your FSH was done on cycle day 3 otherwise an isolated elevated FSH is not particularly reliable.
