I had a colostomy takedown with a stapler does the staples stay in the intestines where they put it back together?

Yes: The staples are intended to stay within the suture line where the colostomy was reversed. These are very fine metallic staples, about 1/16th of an inch each spaced around the suture line. They are made of titanium and are inert to the body.
