It could be: infection or malignancy, depending on location and appearance. Your doctor should advise you whether or not you need to proceed with CT scan.

Need more info: smoker? Any other history? Malignancy always possible but could be scar or benign nodule. Should be followed or biopsy for definitive diagnosis if feasible.
