How tight are your: shoes? Do your shoes fit tightly at the toe? Encourage you to see a podiatrist for most extensive evaluation. Take care.

Easy to stop.: The numbness, more than likely is due to the effect of pressure. Since it is on both great toes, your shoes are playing a role in your symptoms. The same pressure that is causing a numbness is also causing the occasional sharp pain in the edge of the toenail. The nail edge is slowly being forced into the tissue abutting the nail edge. If this continues, count on developing an ingrown toenail.
