Effect, not power!: What you seek is effectiveness - not power. And that is not a one-answer-for-all query. It's also not always best managed in the long run by pharma. CBT psychotherapy is safe and teaches skills to avois, reduce ans manage anxiety (etc) for life. Often meds are used to get thru rough patches, but living more wisely is what matters. Best wishes!

Monitoring is key: The medications that are the best in some cases can be the worst if they are taken incorrectly. There are pro's and con's to all of them. Therapy along with medication is often the most powerful combination. If you are considering anxiety medication your doctor will take into account your personal history and needs and try to find the one that is best for you. Good luck and best wishes.
