Deathly afraid of my cystoscopy. do doctors normally prescribe something for the anxiety? its beyond unnatural to have something go up the opposite direction. should i request a valium for the night before like with dental procedures? any tips?

Pre-op jitters: Although this procedure can be done with out medications, dealing with anxiety can reduce the perception of pain. I would discuss your concerns with the urologist and anesthesiologist well before your procedure
