Normal: It is normal on Mirena (levonorgestrel) to have light or no periods. Ultrasound findings confirm it at this time. Still, keeping a diary of your menstrual bleeding/spotting is helpful, especially if you have other confusing side effects (mild nausea, bloating, breast tenderness, etc).

Mirena (levonorgestrel) iud: Mirena (levonorgestrel) iud is a progesterone releasing iud. The iud has a progesterone impregnated into it and releases this. Many women stop having periods or have very light periods on this iud. That is normal with this iud. Hope this helps.
