Mirena (levonorgestrel): Since Mirena (levonorgestrel) contains Progesterone, It does alter the hormones in the body which can affect various enzymes and other cofactors involved the melanogenesis cascade. So it's possible that areolas may get darker after using Mirena (levonorgestrel), Pregnancy also may cause areolas to become larger and darker.
