Food in stool: It does happen. Some things we eat not completely digested at times. As long as you are not having belly pain, frequent stools (diarrhea) and no foul smelling stools, I would not be worried. Hope this helps. Best of luck.

Problem with food: You either have very rapid transit time which means you are having the food travel down the GI tract too fast or some degree of pancreatic insufficiency made worse by Nexium (esomeprazole). Nexium (esomeprazole) is an excellent drug but raises the pH in the duodenal bulb. This reduces the bicarbonate and enzymatic release of the pancreas so that the food only partially digests. (Guyton physiology).
