How common is it for cellulitis to spread to distant locations? treated for facial cellulitis and now i have it on my leg requiring a new antibiotic

Not uncommon: especially if it is invasive bacteria, such as MRSA. If you get too many of them, you should be tested for conditions that predispose you to infection, such as diabetes.
