I have cellulitis on my shin from a spider bite, it is hot, the redness is shrinking considerable amount from my antibiotic, but i am wanting to know that it is not a blood clot?

Cellulitis and deep vein thrombosis ( dvt) can be confused with eachother due to calf swelling, redness and tenderness. What you have described is more consistent with your history of being treated for a cellulitis. If concerned for a blood clot, please see your doctors and if needed they will order a doppler ultrasound to evaluate for a blocked vein - this is the test to diagnose a blood clot.
