Tumor Sxs: Symptoms (Sxs) of an abdominal tumor are usually absent unless the tumor grows greatly in size. An abdominal tumor in the upper abdomen and deep to a rib would be unusual unless the patient had bulky disease (for example due to a primary liver tumor) . A key issue here is the physical exam and if any question then imaging (radiology) studies to rule out the presence of a tumor.
