A member asked:

20week twin pregnant is it a good time to get "cervical cerclage" done to save my twin pregnancy ? how safe it is and what is the success rate ?

Need more info: There is no need to get a cerclage just because you have a twin pregnancy. It is recommended only if there's risk of preterm labor. There are, of course, risks to this procedure - including infection, bleeding, premature rupture of membranes, preterm labor, etc. The success rate ranges from 80-90% if done electively (not emergency). You should discuss further with your OB. Best wishes.
