Hypochondriasis help: Hypochondriasis (or "health anxiety") is most commonly responsive to a team treatment approach, involving frequent, short visits with ur PMD, and work with psychotherapy &/or medication. Is there a reason you don't want to see a counselor or therapist? It can be extremely helpful for the issues you're struggling with. Perhaps being accompanied by someone u trust wld help? O/w start with ur PMD :)

Do you want to get: over this or not? If you are serious about it - don't exclude the most effective treatment off the bat. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is often the most effective approach to treating hypochondria. Psychoeducation and exposure therapy have been used as well as treatment with antidepressant medications when warranted.
