Thrush: Thrush will go away with antibiotics that treat candidiasis or yeast. Symptoms improve within 48 hours. The symptoms can linger in immune compromised patients. Maintain good oral hygiene, stop smoking, limit yeast containing foods and sugar. Untreated the mouth pain and swallowing becomes very painful and patients struggle to eat and drink enough in the daily diet.
