I began taking effexor (venlafaxine) 75mg 12ish weeks ago. ive started getting sporadic jerking movements in arms/legs etc occasionaly. is this normal/nonconcerning?

Fix problems: Effexor (venlafaxine) can cause myoclonus. Make sure iron problem is resolved. Iron is an important co-factor for the enzyme Tyrosine Hydroxylase (the rate limiting enzyme in the production of Dopamine and related neurotransmitters (nor-epinephrine). Effexor (venlafaxine) blocks the re-uptake of Serotonin and nor-epinephrine. If the iron is OK you might want to re-check your calcium / Vit D and even consider getting an EEG
