S-L-O-W taper.New Dr: I hope your Dr did NOT give you this responsibility. It's a mistake if they did. I urge you to find a Dr who will care for you regarding this impt issue. Do not stop Effexor (venlafaxine) w/out a taper of 1/3 or 1/2 dose a week and DO find one who will evaluate your needs and prescribe or not responsibly. Your health is a team effort. Your role is big, but prescribing Rx's is not part of it. Best!
