I have pain in my perineum. can a tarlov cyst or a pudendal nerve entrapment be seen in mri photography? does it reach perineum enough? alternatives?

It depends: It depends on the area being scanned. If it is a Lumbosacral MRI, the perineum will not be evaluated well. Tarlov cysts canbe identified, however.

Good question: Tarlov cysts can be seen on MRI near a dorsal root ganglion. Those that are larger than 1.5 CM are more likely to be symptomatic. (Most are asymptomatic and incidental findings) The MRI is only as good as the Neuroradiologist or General Radiologist who reads it. The perinium pain may be referred or due to a local process. Your going to need a kick ass doctor (pun intended) Finland has many.
