Problematic: A triglyceride level that high can cause problems with your pancreas. I would take the medication as none of the supplements would be effective enough.

Repeat the test: Be sure you're fasting. Triglyceride levels are meaningless if you've had as much as a pat of butter before your blood draw. If they're still extremely high, consider a workup for one of the more subtle, arcane genetic causes -- pancreatitis risk. Then get back into that intense fitness-focused lifestyle you loved as a teenaged guy. Maybe this will do the trick, maybe no. Best wishes.
