Recently every time i get a mosquito bite it swells and bruises larger than a quarter and lasts for more than a week. have i become allergic?

Yes: But this can usually be handle by topical steroid and antihistamine and does not require allergy shots. Allergy to mosquito venom is common but fatality is probably non-existent.
