NMS: This is an impossible question since there are so many kinds of toxins with variable duration of action. Many are totally harmless (as far as we know) in trace amounts. If the toxin is fat-soluble, it will likely stay around in decreasing quantities over many years. If it is water soluble, then I would not expect it to last for more than a year. However these are just general answers.
