Why do i always get anxious before going to bed? i've tried winding down, talking about it with my husband but every night the same thing....for years

Slowing downnnnn: It may be because that when you are going, going, going during the day that you are too busy for all of the lists of things to do, the what if's etc to pop into your head. So, when you finally slow down, the anxious ruminations begin. Consider deep breathing exercises, progressive muscle relaxation or Buspar (buspirone) when it is time to slow down.

Triggers: Variations in the time of day that anxiety manifests can be biological or psychological. Investigate both. What could be different or special about this time that may be triggering your reaction. Your symptoms are consistent so that may be a clue.
