Yes: Luvox (fluvoxamine) is one of the oldest ssri. It is a very effective medication. But like any mediction, there are patients who do not respond to it or develop debilitating side effects. Fortunately, there are other ssri medications that can be used to maximize your response with minimal side effects. Do not get discouraged if one medication does not help as we have others that will.
