Pain in what is thought to be his esophagus after drinking cold water since last night. how can this be treated?

If recurrent: may need barium swallow to confirm esophageal spasm. Treatment include avoiding cold drinks, treating GERD if present and anxiety and use of medications that relax the esophagus
