GERD: With severe GERD, most people need to avoid fruit juices, caffeine, carbonation, and alcohol. There are decaffeinated teas and coffees's which some people are able to tolerate. There are also dairy products, particularly the low fat variety, which many people can tolerate. Although your choices are somewhat limited, you are not restricted completely just to water.
