Treating a stye: It does sound like you have a stye, or chalazion, on the eye lid. This is a blocked oil gland in the lid that got clogged and possibly infected. The best thing to do is apply hot compresses on the eye frequently for 15-20 min right away which may help it go away. If no improvement in few days, may need to see eye doctor for additional treatment.
