More info: Right now, it points to hyperthyroidism but you need more information to make the diagnosis. Ask your doctor to repeat the test along with free T4 and free t3 (liothyronine). If those are also abnormal, then you need to find the cause for the hyperthyroidism. Don't just treat without knowing what is causing it.

If your TSH is 0.344, which is just slightly below the normal range, it could be: 1) normal, no thyroid disease (the "normal range EXCLUDES 5% of normal values), 2) mildly "hot" (autonomously hyperfunctioning) nodule(s), or 3) your doctor checked it while it was heading down. Recheck in 6 weeks: Stable at 0.3 or now normal; just follow. Further down, hyperthyroid. Check free T4 & T3 (liothyronine). Thy scan
