OK: Your WBC is not that high. Get an exam to clinically correlate why the WBC is minimally elevated and have it followed up serial with future testing. If you are taking steroids, that can do it, or smoking can too. If exam shows possible low lying infection, then treating that will also most likely cure the issue. Best wishes.

Need some help here: What's the white cell differential on your CBC (complete blood count)? What are your co-morbidities? A single abnormal total WBC count requires context for interpretation as to its significance. More information would be helpful in formulating a complete answer.
