Can ibs get progressively worse despite better diet + ssri anxiety mgmt? few years ago had diarrhea <1x/week. now? daily for 21 days, often 10-15x/daily. often dark blood but ibd, celiac etc ruled out

IBS doesn&#x27;t bleed: IBS shouldn&#x27;t cause diarrhea that profuse. And it definitely shouldn&#x27;t cause bleeding. Celiac disease doesn&#x27;t cause bleeding either. There are other causes of persistent diarrhea and bloody stool besides IBD. Talk to your gastroenterologist.

IBS: I'm finding more and more people with sensitivity to sugar alcohols. Sorbitol, Xylitol , maltodextrin and malitol. Check labels. Sugar free gum and diet desserts, especially ice cream. Check your labels. I hope this works!
