Watch and wait: Nope. If he us sleepy key him sleep but make sure he can be easily aroused. If he vomits go to the ER. 24 hours after the injury you can be less watchful or less worried.

Not if: He is acting no normally, eating normally,responding normally, not crying all the time out of the ordinary, not lethargic , not vomiting. Arouses normally if disturbed. If these things are worrisome get checked out. Try putting frozen peas on his bump. It should help the swelling.
