Hydration: Hydration is very important especially for babies. Keep giving fluids and formula. But if the diarrhea has been going on for four days, highly recommend evaluation by a physician. Babies can easily get dehydrated.

Hyrdration: Common Diarrheal illness may typically last for one week to 10 days . Keep your baby well hydrated and continue breast feeding. If your baby seems to have fewer diapers, dry lips and less saliva, these may be signs of dehydration. When you follow up with your pediatrician, they will re-assess for weight loss as well. Pedialyte may be given for 24 hours, if formula is not tolerated.
