Gatorade: is designed as a "replacement" drink. If you are sweating heavily that is the time to use this type of drink as you can drop low in several electrolytes.

Gatorade and BP meds: Occasional use of Gatorade while taking losartan should be fine as long as you do not have a problem with high potassium already. Be sure that your blood pressure is under good control and that you don't have congestive heart failure since Gatorade is high in sodium (more so than potassium) and sodium can cause elevated blood pressure and fluid retention.

Probably ok: The amount of potassium in a glass of Gatorade is minimal and is unlikely to affect serum potassium levels, especially if kidney function is normal. It's ok: If you have normal kidney function, it is ok to have an occasional gatorade. Cozaar, generic name losartan, can increase potassium levels in patients taking potassium supplements and in those with kidney disease. Gatorade does not supply enough potassium to be worrisome.
