A member asked:

How much does inspra raise blood potassium? can it be used with klor-con and losartan. ? ive always had severe hypokalemia due to aldosterone. it is at 4.3 with this regiment. would adding inspra be safe or make it go too high?

Inspra is an aldosterone antagonist so you can take this medication for normalizing potassium without the hassle of taking potassium supplement. And you may not need Losartan at all if hypertension is due to hyperaldosteronism. I always use either spironolactone (aldactone) or eplerenone (inspra) for low K and high BP due to high aldosterone in the first place. Good luck.
