The face can tell.: Now known as Dissociative Identity Disorder,is identity fragmentation rather than separate personalities. Certain circumstances or stressors can cause a particular “personality” to emerge. Frequently linked to a severe childhood trauma. Psychotherapy works best, to try to “unite" the different personalities. No meds to treat this disorder. Anti-anxiety drugs may help control the mental symptoms.
